Moving still life

A very successful workshop with a lovely  art group at Culgaith in the Eden Valley.  The idea of a still life which was rotated every half hour was daunting at first but everybody buckled down and some interesting, layered pieces were soon being built up.  By the second attempt people had the hang of it and appeared really quite pleased with themselves!  It was generally agreed that if you are going to buy in a tutor for the day then you should end up doing something you wouldn’t otherwise have done.

Fine Studios at Fine House Farm

Fine Studio

This year I have started running my workshops at a new venue on the Northumberland/County Durham border.  Fine Studios at Fine House Farm is the perfect place – a huge art-friendly work-space which is quiet, light and warm and set in rural surroundings offering plenty of inspiration.  Jane Dawson provides the warmest of welcomes, delicious lunches and lots of cake!  I feel fortunate to be in at the beginning of such a brilliant project.
